We welcome color or black-and-white. Submissions are juried according to artistic merit and with respect to both the contents of the magazine and the academic environment. We discourage commercial photography (advertising, product shots, etc).

Work will be juried by the Sierra Journal Committee. If selected, the artist agrees to have their work published in the Sierra Journal both in print and online. Artists' work may also be used for promotional materials (social media, advertisements, inclusion on the SJ website, etc).
