New words describe sensations, changed perspectives describe how we view our lived experiences. Artists gift us a glimpse into how they perceive the world—a piece of their truth. As a creative community, our works often mirror each other as we speak to the concerns (and joys) of this current moment. We carry the heritage of those that came before us and follow in their footsteps. We strive to express honestly those stories that stir our hearts and minds in the present.
